Consultation

The CloudCode is being developed collaboratively and in consultation with all stakeholders.

A core principle of the development of the code is that while NZCS is facilitating development, this is on behalf of the IT sector as a whole. With that in mind we’re holding a series of consultative meetings around New Zealand to give as many people as possible the opportunity to contribute to the development of the Code.

After holding public workshops, and publishing draft documents on the structure and approach of the code from which we received formal submissions and feedback, we are now in the process of developing the code of practice.

NOW ON:  NZ Cloud Code of Practice content development.

As a result of the feedback and formal submissions made on the Draft NZ Cloud Code Structure and approach document released in December 2011, we are now developing the content of the NZ Cloud Code of Practice via specialist work groups.  These workgroups are contributing to the development of the code by way of meetings to break down the essential elements that are required under each of the following disclosure points.

  • Data Ownership
  • Security
  • Data Location
  • Data Access
  • Back up and Maintenance
  • Geographic Diversity
  • SLA and Support
  • Competency Warranty
  • Privacy Policy
  • Enhanced Security
  • Data Trans-portability
  • Service dependencies
  • Business Continuity
  • HR/Personal procedures
  • Data Formats
  • Jurisdictions
  • Customer engagement
  • Assessment
If you are interested in joining any of the workgroups that are involved in any of the topics above, email joy@nzcs.org.nz.  Places are limited.
